Support Our Food Bank

The Food Bank is open on the second and last Tuesdays of each month, from 9:30 am to 12:30.

The Northwest Ecumenical Foodbank is supported by Audubon Park UMC, Driscoll Blvd. Baptist, the Friends, and Garland Alliance churches, and is open to serve persons from the 99205, 99208, and 99026 zip codes.

Food is available by donation and from Second Harvest, and welcomes donations of food or money from the northwest neighborhood. Our Food Bank serves about 60 families, 275 people, and over 6,000 pounds of food every month!

We welcome all volunteers from our church and community. Please contact Pat Leapley at 327-6821 or call the church office at 325-4541 to volunteer. Food arrives on Monday mornings from Second Harvest and client bags are packed. Then volunteers begin at 9 am Tuesday to prepare for clients.

Thank you to everyone who continues to donate items, money, or offer their time for our local food bank -

A Look at Hunger in Spokane County

*Statistics provided by Second Harvest and originally printed in the Spokesman-Review.

For over 20 years Audubon Park UMC has provided the space serving the 99205, a portion of 99208, and 99026 zip codes. In April 2008, 298 people received 6004 pounds of food. We saw 56 new clients that month, which was the first month after the closure of the St. Vincent DePaul food bank. We expect this figure to increase in the months ahead.
