Rev. L. Carlyle "Carl" Martin is the pastor of Audubon Park United Methodist Church, serving this church since July of 2007.
Pastor Carl was born and raised near Defiance, Ohio where he met and married his Jr. High School sweetheart, Linda. The Martins have three grown children and two grandchildren.
Carl received the B.A. degree from Ohio Northern University and the Masters in Divinity (M.Div.) from the United Theological Seminary. He was ordained an Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1976. He has served pastorates in Ohio, Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. From 1998-2003 Carl served as Spiritual Director of Stone's Throw Ministries, a ministry of art (pottery) and spirituality at Stone's Throw Retreat & Pottery near Castle Rock, Washington. Carl holds a Certificate of Completion from The Upper Room Academy for Spiritual Formation and has done extensive advanced studies in the area of Church Growth and Evangelism.
Carl names his family, preaching the Gospel, and pottery as his main passions in life.
